Detroit Grand Prix – Race 1 Report

“It was a frustrating day for the DHL team. The pit strategy just didn’t work out for us again. It seems that cars that ended up in the wall, or on pit lane during Lap 1 ended up on the podium. Marco and I had a great fight on track though – we were like two kids that weren’t welcome to the party on the outside fighting it out, but it was fun. We’ll pull together tonight and hopefully come back stronger tomorrow.”

After a long month of May back home in Indiana, RHR headed north for a double-header weekend on the streets of Detroit’s Belle Isle.

Race 1 of the Detroit Grand Prix double-header has concluded and tomorrow morning the field of 22 will re-qualify for their chance to take the pole position for the second 70-lap event.
