“I feel terrible for the team. I was racing [Alexander] Rossi and got caught up in the fight, then broke too deep. I missed it by a good half a marker in the braking and got into Jack Harvey – feel bad for them. Apologies to the team, to DHL, AutoNation and our partners. We should have had a pretty good day today. This is one on me.”

WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca played host to a hard fought season finale as the NTT IndyCar Series crowned a new champion. The hopes were high for Andretti Autosport to come home with another Astor Cup, but it wasn’t in the cards today for the No. 27 team — they fought hard but come away from the 2019 season third in the standings.

  • OF NOTE: A mechanical issue on the first pit stop stalled the 28 car on exit, resulting in lost track position // Following the pit issue, Hunter-Reay drove the DHL car from 24th back into the top 10
