INDYCAR Grand Prix of Sonoma Qualifying Report

“It was a shootout out there right to the last minute with trying to figure out which tires to go with, but the Firestone Reds were just awesome in the Fast Six. This 28 DHL Honda team did just such a good job putting a great car under me. It’s nice to finally get that pole at Sonoma because we’ve been knocking on the door for it for years so definitely a good team effort.”

The grid is set for final race of the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series and all four Andretti cars will see the green flag from inside the top 10 — with DHL driver Ryan Hunter-Reay leading the way from the pole. For a second consecutive race, Andretti Autosport has had three drivers in the top six.
