INDYCAR Grand Prix Qualifying Report

“It was a strange qualifying effort today — pair our starting position with the food poisoning I’m battling, and it’s not an afternoon to remember. We were seventh overall in times coming out of practice, before quals, but we just couldn’t find the speed to advance when the time came. The DHL team has a couple podiums here, and we’re really hoping to take the top step tomorrow. We’ll spend time looking at it tonight, but we have some work to do.”

The Month of May is officially underway and the grid has been set for Saturday’s 85-lap race. The INDYCAR Grand Prix will be the sixth Indy car event conducted on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s road course.

  • STARTING POSITION: 16th
  • QUALIFYING TIME: 1:08.6235

The field of 24 will take the green flag on the 2.439-mile circuit at 3:50 p.m., with live broadcast via NBC at 3 p.m. ET.
