Milwaukee IndyFest Race Preview

milwaukeeHunter-Reay is the only driver in the long history of Indy car racing at the Milwaukee Mile to win the pole and lead every lap of a race. He led all 250 laps in the Champ Car event in 2004.

“Milwaukee is my favorite oval outside of Indianapolis, and it’s definitely one of my favorite races of the season. It has such a rich history, but the track itself is so respected by all of the drivers because it’s so difficult to get right. That’s what makes it one of my biggest wins. Andretti Autosport has always had good cars here, and I want to continue the streak of success they’ve had at Milwaukee. It’s the first short oval race for the (Dallara) DW12, and I really want to win again here. It has the feel of another home race for me since Andretti (Sports Marketing) has taken over the promotion of the event.”

Did You Know: Hunter-Reay is the only driver to score victories in the IZOD IndyCar Series, CART/Champ Car, Grand-Am and the American Le Mans Series.
