GMR Grand Prix Qualifying Report

gmr grand prix logo“All in all it was a pretty frustrating day for the whole team. We thought we had the speed to make it and we were in the the top six for most of the session. We just missed it by seven hundredths of a second, which would’ve put us P5. Unfortunately we were on the wrong side of that. Quite a few of us are starting toward the latter half of the field, so we’ll just have to come up with a good tire and fuel strategy to put us into the top 10 and then fight from there. We’re going to try to get the No. 28 DHL Honda up front and we still have a few tricks up our sleeve. We’ll look toward putting our best foot forward tomorrow for warm-up.”

The iconic ‘Month of May’ is in full swing in Indianapolis with qualifying for the GMR Grand Prix on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course in the books. Action for the weekend started with the first practice session – led by Alexander Rossi – followed by a second practice session to fine-tune qualifying setups.

  • STARTING POSITION: 19th

Race day will kick off with a final warm-up practice session tomorrow morning leading into the GMR Grand Prix with coverage starting live on NBC at 2 p.m. ET.
