LAGUNA SECA INDYCAR HISTORY

  • Starts: 1
  • Best Start: 9 (2019)
  • Best Finish: 10 (2019)

“Finally we’re going back to Laguna Seca – it feels like it’s been ages since we last raced here. In 2019, we had strong pace, however we experienced electrical issues which dropped us to the rear of the field. We were able to battle our way all the way into the top 10 and come away with a top-10 result. After our issues at Portland, I’m just hoping for a straightforward weekend so I can have a chance to fight for the win.”

The NTT INDYCAR SERIES will continue their three-race West Coast swing to round out the 2021 season as they head to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey. INDYCAR returned to Laguna Seca in 2019 for the first time since the 2004 Champ Car Series season and were poised to come back in 2020 before COVID-19 restrictions put a halt to the series’ return.

Ryan Hunter-Reay started and finished in the top 10 in his 2019 outing at Laguna Seca with Hunter-Reay starting ninth and finishing 10th.
