Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio Qualifying Report

indy 200 at mid-hhio“It was a promising practice and we finished fifth there. We advanced out of our group in Round 1 and into the top 12, but we were dealing with some understeer that we need to correct. We swung at it a little too hard and ended up making the car loose unfortunately. We have to try and keep up with the track as it’s gripping up. It was the change that we went with and it unfortunately backfired and we ended up P10. That’s where we started last year when we ended up on the podium, so we’ll try to make that happen again.”

Qualifying for the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio saw 26 cars compete to set the field for Sunday’s 80-lap race. For the first time in the 2021 season, all four Andretti cars advanced to the second round of knockout qualifying. Ryan Hunter-Reay will be starting beside his teammate, James Hinchcliffe, on the outside of Row 5 in 10th.
