Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio Race Report

“We had a good start. We moved up a spot there going into Turn 1 after we started. Then we just got dropkicked and put into the wall. We bent the toe link and spent the rest of the day two laps down. Not really sure what else we could have done or what to think of the whole thing. We were just a victim of the situation.”

The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio came to a close on Sunday as the 26-car field put on quite a show for the July 4th race. Alexander Rossi continued his streak of top-five finishes at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with a fifth-place finish. A Lap 1 incident involving James Hinchcliffe and Ryan Hunter-Reay forced both cars to pit lane earlier than planned to check for repairs to the No. 29 and No. 28.

  • STARTED: 10th // FINISHED: 24th
  • CHAMPIONSHIP: 17th (145 pts.)
  • OF NOTE:
    • The No. 28 made contact with the wall during a Lap 1 incident with teammate Hinchcliffe forcing the car to pit lane for a front wing change and toe link repair

All Andretti cars will return to the headquarters in Indianapolis for the summer break before hitting the streets of Nashville for the inaugural Music City Grand Prix on August 8.
