REV Group Grand Prix Race Report

“We just couldn’t ever find that happy spot with the tires. I was loose or had understeer and just never really found the rhythm here as we have in years past. To pour fuel on the fire, we were also dealing with a bunch of cars who took new tires right at the end while we were struggling on burnt up (Firestone Primary) blacks. It just wasn’t our day with the DHL Honda, but we’ll look forward to Mid-Ohio in a few weekends.”

The NTT INDYCAR SERIES rounded out the month of June with the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America. Ryan Hunter-Reay ran a solid race while battling for positions across the top 10.

  • STARTED: 8th // FINISHED: 13th
  • CHAMPIONSHIP: 15th (139 pts.)
  • OF NOTE:
    • Ran solidly in the top 10 for most of the race and was as high as fourth early in the race

Ryan will take a weekend off before heading to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, where the team swept the podium in 2020. The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio goes green on Sunday, July 4 at 12 p.m. ET on NBC.
