“Today we had really good pace on the primary Firestone tires. We were up front this morning on the primaries and same in qualifying, but when it came time to use the (Firestone) Alternate red tires we just couldn’t find the balance. We had too much understeer and unfortunately just missed the mark advancing into the (Firestone) Fast Six by nine hundredths of a second. We’ll have to look at that for the race, but we’re in the hunt which is a good thing. We’re looking forward to a good race tomorrow.”
