Verizon IndyCar Series driver and 2014 Indianapolis 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay will take the world-famous Borg-Warner Trophy to Capitol Hill on Tuesday.
Hunter-Reay, also known as “Captain America” in racing circles, and the iconic trophy will be featured at a 100th Running reception.
The reception is hosted by Indiana Representatives Susan W. Brooks and Andre Carson.
Members of Congress representing several Verizon IndyCar Series tracks also will be in attendance.
Hunter-Reay and the Borg-Warner Trophy will make stops at multiple famous Hill locations and join IMS President Doug Boles in meetings with lawmakers.
This is the first time the Borg-Warner Trophy has visited the Capitol building.
