Indy Grand Prix of Alabama Qualifying Report

2016-alabama-race4“We really had a not so promising practice session (this morning), then in qualifying we had a good lap in. I was really charging for it and dropped the left rear (tire) off in the exit of (Turn) 9, just enough to make me lift. It would have put us P4 in my group – we would have at least moved on, but I don’t think it would have gone much further than that today. Hopefully we’ll put our heads together, put a great race car under us and pick a great strategy. We started from 18th last year and finished fifth… Hopefully we can do that again for the DHL team.”

The field of 21 took Mr. Barber’s 2.3-mile road course today for a morning practice session followed by qualifying for tomorrow’s Honda Indy Grand Prix.

  • RHR will line up 18th for the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama
  • Started from 18th in 2015 and combined strategy and speed for a fifth-place result
