“That was a lot of hard work for P11, I don’t even know what to say. With no yellows coming out- we needed at least one yellow for our strategy to work out. We had nothing, no help. We’re really looking for some luck this year at some point, hopefully we’re saving that up for Indy. We’ve had nothing, if not bad luck this year. The race running green just went against our strategy, we only picked up seven spots.”

The checkered flags have flown over Round 4 of Verizon IndyCar Series competition in Alabama. If the final parade lap leading to the green was any indication, one would have guessed today’s 90-lap race would have been filled with nail-bitting moments. One the contrary, that opening yellow counted as the race’s only caution, lasting just one single lap before the green flag covered the remaining of today’s Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.

  • Started today’s race from the 18th position on the track where he holds two career wins
  • Was shown as high as ninth during pit sequences before coming to the twin checkers in 11th

From here the team heads to home turf to prepare for a historic Month of May in Indianapolis. The Grand Prix of Indianapolis will take place May 14, followed by the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 29.
