REV Group Group Grand Prix – Race 2 Report

“We had a decent start, and I think we were going to have a good day today for the 28 DHL Honda team. It’s unfortunate. We finally got some points yesterday. The first two races of the season we had our own issues – electrical and mechanical – so finally we were on our way and then Turn 1 happened. We could have had plenty of time to battle it out today, but it is what it is. We’ll pick up and move on to Iowa for another doubleheader next week. Big thanks to everybody involved. The guys did a great job this weekend on the car, the DHL Honda crew was amazing, and thanks to all our sponsors and fans that made it out. It’s great to have everyone all back at the track.”

The first of two consecutive doubleheader weekends is complete for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES with the conclusion of today’s Round 4 at Road America. The 27 AutoNation / NAPA AUTO PARTS car of Alexander Rossi was today’s top finisher for the team with a podium finish. Collectively, the party of five leaves Wisconsin with four top-five finishes over the two race events.

  • STARTED: 4rd // FINISHED: 22nd
  • CHAMPIONSHIP: 11th (81 pts.)
  • OF NOTE: The 28-car suffered day-ending damage following contact from behind on Turn 1 of the opening lap from the 12-car of Will Power // The 18-time INDYCAR race winner holds two top-10 finishes after four rounds of 2020 competition

With little turn-around time, the Series heads to Iowa Speedway’s 7/8-mile oval for two races under the lights, both with live broadcast on NBCSN.
