“I’m looking forward to getting back to some short oval racing under the lights at World Wide Technology Raceway. The promoters of the race have done a fantastic job over the past few years packing the stands, so hopefully we’ll have the same turnout this Saturday night. We had a very productive test here a few weeks ago, so we’ll be looking to hit the ground running once we get back on track.”
The Bommarito Automotive Group 500 will be the 13th INDYCAR SERIES race at World Wide Technology Raceway and the sixth since the series returned to the short oval in 2017 after a 13-year break. It will also be the fourth and final oval race of the 2021 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.
Ryan Hunter-Reay has competed in all five events at World Wide Technology Raceway since the NTT INDYCAR SERIES came back to the short oval event in 2017. He has two top-10 finishes and has started in the top 10 in three of his five starts.
